Step 1: Pin Your Place

Identify the place on the map, upload site photos and map screenshots of the place you want to improve.

Step 2: Tell the Story

Describer:

- What the place is like today

- What problems or opportunities exist

- Your vision for change 

Step 3: Add Your Idea / Illustration

Create an illustration to show your idea.

Use your favourite design or AI app (Canva, Firefly, Midjourney, Leonardo, Dall E) or upload your own sketch.

Step 4: Invite Discussion

Invite your community members, neighbours, designers and other specialists, Council officers and your own family members to give feedback and vote on ideas.

Create an illustration to express your idea.

 

You can upload your own sketch to present your visual concept. Alternatively, you may use our built-in AI engine (based on your subscription plan) to generate a visual directly within the platform.

 

You’re also welcome to create your visuals using your preferred design software or AI tools — such as Canva, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Leonardo, DALL·E, or others — and then upload the generated image to the OurPlace system.

Step 5: Build Shared Vision

Collect feedback and shape a community - backed and collective vision to achieve the best possible concept. Refine your idea into a better place concept proposal for detailed design purposes.
